Turkey Chili

was shopping in Trader Joe and saw the beautiful minced turkey breast and my mind just get trigger to make a pot of a Turkey Chili for dinner and freezes the rest for Monday Memorial Day BBQ and farewell party to my very good friend Anneli, she’s going back for good in June, her son Alex also happen to be my 7 years old son Billy best friend, they see each other almost 5-6 times a week. They live about 3 minutes away from us… I’m kind of feeling sad to loose my running mate, my party animal friend and there are the BEST people in this whole wide world, believed me!

This 2 years we see each other so often and we always there for each other, I’m just wishing her and her family a very best journey and hopefully she will move back to California soon…

Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1kg of Ground Turkey ( season lightly with salt, pepper, soy sauces, chili powder, seasame oil and 1 tbsp of corn starch)
  • 1 yellow onion ( chopped)
  • 4 cloves of garlic ( Chopped)
  • 1 tsp of minced ginger
  • 2 cans of chili bean
  • 2 cans of vegetarian chili ( can replace with canned kidney bean)
  • 1 cans of stewed tomato
  • 2 tbsp of Tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp of Cayenne chili powder
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp of AllSpices powder
  • 1 tsp of Cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 small cans of Jalapeño chili
  • 1 cups of chicken broth

this this all the canned beans and Stewed tomato i used for Chili Recipe, the vegetarian chili can be replace by kindney bean

browning the seasoned Turkey is important, it give more favor and nicer texture to the dish

added in the chopped garlic, onion and minced ginger and cook for a minute till the condiments start to brown too

add the rest of the ingrdients and spices and stewed it for half an hour on low heat

check the taste and adjust to your liking, if you are not a fan of “spicy” go light by cutting the chili powder by 1tsp,

after half an hour, this is how i like my chili, you can also replace Turkey with your favorite meat, e.g. Chicken, pork, lamb, or beef
